One Door is a medical detox center with a mission to restore families and transform lives. Many times, those who are struggling with addiction aren’t able to qualify for programs to help them find freedom because they cannot detox to enter the program without drugs in their system, a requirement for most recovery programs. That’s where One Door steps in. Under medical supervision, clients are able to detox from substances and qualify to enter a long-term recovery and discipleship program.
Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory.
Celebrate Recovery meets every Friday at 6:30 PM at Canyon Hills.
The Mission at Kern County
The Mission at Kern County recently celebrated 60 years of providing hope and restoration to a hurting population in our city. The Mission at Kern County provides shelter to nearly 300 guests each night through their Homeless Intervention Services and Christian Discipleship Residential Program. Every year, The Mission serves more than 200,000 meals. That’s more than 500 meals every day!
The mission also has a program to provide housing and mentorship for individuals who have graduated from the program as they are transitioning into the workforce.
In 2018, they will open a new home for women with children to help women become free from life-controlling addictions without having to surrender their children to the foster care system.
